How to quash a warrant
If you are currently represented by an attorney
- If a warrant has been issued for your arrest, contact your attorney.
- For state cases, if you are represented by a public defender, refer to the King County Dept. of Public Defense (DPD) webpage for contact information.
If you are not currently represented by an attorney
- You can contact the Court to find out if you are able to sign up for a bench warrant quash calendar. In some limited cases, you may be able to quash the warrant just by going to the clerkâs office at any King County District Court location.
- If you want to set a hearing by going to the courthouse in person for a same day hearing, you must be at a District Court location no less than 2 hours before the scheduled daily bench warrant calendar to sign up.
- To schedule a bench warrant quash hearing by phone, you must contact the Court the business day before you want to have the hearing.
