Please do not come into any King County District Court courthouse if you are:

  • Sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms such as a cough, fever or other respiratory problem
  • In a high-risk category for COVID-19
    • Over 60
    • Pregnant
    • Have underlying health conditions, including heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, weakened immune system or are on immunosuppressant drugs

All King County District Court Divisions are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of the following Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday (3rd Monday in January), President's Day (3rd Monday in February), Memorial Day (Last Monday of May), July 4, Labor Day (1st Monday in September), Veteran's Day (November 11), Thanksgiving and the day after (4th Thursday of November), Christmas Day (December 25).

Passport applications are accepted in every location except the Office of the Presiding Judge, Auburn and MRJC.  Passport acceptance hours are 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M..

If filing for Domestic Violence or Anti-Harassment Petitions, it is best to appear in court as early as possible.

Security Screening
You will pass through a security screening checkpoint as you enter any courthouse location.  Certain items may not be brought into the facility and must be left with security personnel at the checkpoint before you enter.  Please take a moment to learn about the items prohibited from King County court facilities.
